At the 19th edition of FICCI HEAL 2025 in New Delhi, Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda released three policy papers outlining the future direction of India’s healthcare system — focusing on quality, ageing, and digital transformation. The event, themed “Care @ 25 – Defining Moments in Healthcare,” marked a milestone in the sector’s evidence-based reform journey.
The FICCI-EY Report: True Accountable Care proposes a framework for strengthening accountability, outcome measurement, and cost efficiency across healthcare delivery. The FICCI Paper: Unlocking the Longevity Dividend maps policy and service pathways for healthy and active ageing, linking geriatric care with community health and social protection. The FICCI-KPMG Paper: AI in Healthcare explores how artificial intelligence can reshape diagnostics, patient management, and resource optimisation, calling for ethical frameworks and interoperability standards.
Together, the three papers provide a strategic blueprint for India’s transition from volume-based to value-based, technology-enabled care, aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047 goals and the government’s commitment to accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for all.
By translating research into policy guidance, these papers advance India’s move toward data-driven governance, preventive care, and digital health equity. They also signal stronger public–private cooperation in shaping accountable and inclusive healthcare models.
