Purpose and Scope

The Policy Edge is committed to maintaining a constructive and respectful platform for public policy dialogue. This Content Moderation and Takedown Policy outlines our approach to managing contributions, user feedback (if applicable), and requests for content removal.

This policy applies to all published content, including articles, opinion pieces, comments, and media shared on our platform.

  2. Relevance to public policy

  3. Language and tone

  4. Compliance with applicable laws (e.g., hate speech, defamation, incitement)

We reserve the right to edit, decline, or delay publication based on these criteria.

Comment Moderation

If our website enables comments or public feedback:

  1. Comments must be respectful, relevant, and free of personal attacks or discriminatory language.

  2. Spam, trolling, or promotional content will be removed.

  3. We reserve the right to moderate or disable comments on any article at our discretion.

Takedown Requests

We recognise that errors or concerns may arise. Any individual, institution, or entity may request removal or correction of content that they believe to be:

  1. Factually inaccurate

  2. Misattributed or plagiarised

  3. In violation of privacy, copyright, or applicable law

  4. Harmful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate

Please email editor@policyedge.in with:

  1. A link to the content in question

  2. A clear explanation of the concern

  3. Supporting evidence (if applicable)

  4. Your full name and contact details

We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 5 working days and will conduct a prompt review.

Resolution Process

Upon receiving a valid request:

  1. The content will be reviewed by our editorial team.

  2. If the claim is found to be valid, we may correct, temporarily remove, or permanently take down the content.

  3. Where appropriate, we may seek clarification from the original author or involve legal counsel.

We may not act on anonymous or incomplete requests unless legally required to do so.

Transparency

Where takedowns or corrections are made, we aim to document the change transparently (e.g., by adding a note or editorial clarification), unless there is a legal or safety reason not to.
