Working Paper Upload Guidelines

1. Access Your Account

  • Request a password using your registered email ID.

  • Log in and review/update your profile details before submission.


2. Go to the Submission Page

  • Navigate to the “Fellows” section in the website footer to access the Working Paper submission portal.


3. Prepare and Format Your Document

  • Paper size: A4

  • Begin with Introduction

  • Exclude the cover page (it will be generated by the system)

Formatting (recommended for consistency):

  • Font: Times New Roman (or similar serif)

  • Title: 14–16 pt (Title Case)

  • Headings: 12–13 pt

  • Body text: 11–12 pt


4. Check Content Requirements

  • Abstract: up to 150 words

  • Disclaimer: up to 70 words


5. Enter Paper Details (Metadata)

  • Fill in: Title, Author(s), Affiliations, Abstract, JEL Codes, SDGs, and Disclaimers

  • The system will automatically generate the cover page using these details

⚠️ Do not include this first page yourself


6. Confirm Authorship and Affiliations

  • The logged-in Fellow must be a co-author

  • You may list up to four affiliations across all co-authors

  • The order of co-authors can be edited on the submission screen

  • For Fellows, The Policy Edge will automatically appear as an affiliation, alongside any institutional affiliations you provide


7. Upload and Submit

  • Upload the final PDF (excluding the cover page)

  • Complete submission through the portal


8. Indicate Optional Preferences

  • You will have the option to indicate whether your Working Paper should be considered for conversion into an opinion article


Important Notes Before Submission

  • If your Working Paper is sponsored or commercially commissioned, please contact us prior to uploading


Review and Rights

  • Submissions are reviewed only for style consistency, not for content

  • Copyright remains with the author(s)

  • The Policy Edge reserves the right to circulate and distribute Working Papers, in line with the Contributor Agreement (available in the website footer)
