Institutions: Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation
The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is participating in the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 (7β9 October, Mumbai). It will display key statistical indicators like GDP, CPI, labour data, and host curated events exploring synergies between official statistics and fintech. MoSPI officials will lead panel discussions on integrating survey data + market intelligence and host closed-door sessions with fintech firms and regulators to co-create trusted data partnerships.
GFF is a large annual gathering of fintech companies, regulators, researchers, and technologists to explore innovations in financial services, digital payments, data infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks. MoSPIβs presence aims to signal that official statistics can evolve from static reporting to dynamic, real-time insights that fintechs can leverage for inclusive growth, financial inclusion, and evidence-based policy design.
By bridging the gap between statistical agencies and fintech ecosystems, MoSPI can drive more granular and real-time data flows, strengthen data trust and interoperability, and enable private-sector decision-making aligned with public policy needs. For India, this implies integrating survey systems, administrative data, and market analytics to enhance planning, targeting, and evaluation.
Relevant Question for Policy Stakeholders:
How can MoSPI institutionalise ongoing collaboration with fintech and private-sector data providers to make official statistics more timely, usable, and responsive?
