The Hotel Association of India (HAI) has announced the 7th Hoteliers’ Conclave 2026, scheduled for 10 April 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. Themed Re-engineering Hospitality, the event will bring together policymakers and industry leaders to examine transformations in the hospitality sector driven by changing consumer behaviour, technological advances, and sustainability practices. The discussions will also focus on how the sector should adapt to an increasingly uncertain and complex future.
The announcement ties into India’s Tourism Vision 2047, which aims to build a US$3 trillion tourism economy, attract 100 million foreign travellers, and rank among the world’s top five destinations. Hotels are central to this ambition, contributing to GDP, employment, local infrastructure, and improved living standards.
The conclave will serve as a strategic platform for aligning hospitality growth with national economic and tourism targets. Its emphasis on sustainability and technology adoption reflects the sector’s critical role in balancing economic expansion with environmental responsibility and service quality. Outcomes from the event may shape regulatory priorities, investment frameworks, and workforce strategies in the tourism sector.
Relevant Question for Policy Stakeholders:
How can India’s hospitality sector leverage innovation and sustainability practices to meet the targets of Tourism Vision 2047 while ensuring resilience in a volatile global environment?
