Editorial and Republishing Policy

Editorial Independence

The Policy Edge (“We”) is committed to editorial independence, intellectual rigour, and clarity in public communication. All content published on our platform reflects careful editorial curation and is selected for its relevance, quality, and contribution to public understanding of policy issues.

Editorial decisions are made independently by our editorial team, based on merit and public interest. While we welcome collaboration with institutions and contributors, such partnerships do not influence our editorial judgment.

Submissions and Review

Submissions are welcome from researchers, practitioners, civil society actors, and policy professionals. All articles are reviewed for:

  1. Clarity of argument

  2. Evidentiary support

  3. Accessibility to a policy-facing audience

  4. Relevance to current issues or broader governance themes

We may edit submitted content for language, structure, or style, while striving to preserve the author’s intent. Authors will be consulted on substantial edits before publication.

Authorship and Attribution

  1. Authorship is clearly attributed to the named contributor(s) unless anonymity has been explicitly requested and granted.

  2. When publishing content based on institutional research or collaborative outputs, appropriate attribution and acknowledgment will be provided.

  3. The views expressed in articles are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the position of The Policy Edge or its editorial team.

Republishing by Others

We encourage republication of our content under the following conditions:

  1. You may republish articles from The Policy Edge only with prior written permission, unless otherwise stated.

  2. Republishing must include clear attribution to the author and The Policy Edge, with a link to the original article.

  3. No edits may be made to the original article without express consent.

  4. Republishing for commercial purposes requires a separate agreement.

To request republication rights, please write to: editor@policyedge.in

Republishing by Authors

Authors may republish their own contributions elsewhere (e.g., personal blogs, institutional sites, newsletters), subject to the following:

  1. The republished version must acknowledge first publication by The Policy Edge, with a link to the original.

  2. If significant changes are made to the version, we recommend noting that it is a revised version.

  3. If the republication is on a widely circulated or commercial platform, the author should inform the editorial team in advance.

Corrections and Retractions

We are committed to accuracy and transparency. If factual inaccuracies or misrepresentations are identified post-publication:

  1. Minor corrections will be made transparently within the article.

  2. In cases of significant errors, a correction note, or editorial clarification may be appended.

  3. Retractions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with the author and editorial team.
