SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions | SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Institution: Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions
The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) released the 40th Monthly Report on CPGRAMS for August 2025, assessing grievance redressal performance across Central Ministries and Departments. A total of 1,61,265 grievances were registered, of which 1,51,114 were disposed, leaving a pendency of 78,335. The average disposal time was reported at 15 days.
The Grievance Redressal Assessment & Index (GRAI) ranked top performers among Group A ministries, including the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, Department of Telecommunications, and Department of Posts. The report provides comparative performance metrics and highlights areas requiring systemic improvement.
The monthly assessment strengthens accountability and highlights where ministries excel or lag in grievance redressal. High disposal rates reflect progress, but pendency and resolution time remain policy concerns. For decision makers, these findings are critical to target reforms in staffing, training, and digital process adoption to ensure timely citizen-centric governance.
