Institutions: Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions
To commemorate its 100th year, UPSC Chairman Dr. Ajay Kumar unveiled a forward-looking vision emphasising inclusivity, digital outreach, and institutional reform. The commission launched the “My UPSC Interview” portal to crowdsource personal stories from civil servants, reinforcing transparency and connection with aspirants. A new UPSC and Centenary logo were also unveiled, emphasising continuity and adaptability.
Dr. Kumar called for deeper collaboration with State Public Service Commissions, stronger feedback mechanisms, and expanded engagement especially with aspirants from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. These steps are part of the effort to keep the UPSC’s selection process more responsive and representative.
As the apex recruitment body for civil services, UPSC’s centenary agenda reveals an explicit intent to modernize, democratize participation, and adapt to evolving citizen expectations. Enhancing transparency, bridging the urban–rural aspirant divide, and aligning with digital trends will shape future public service recruitment.
