The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched a nationwide awareness campaign titled ‘जागरूक निवेशक सुरनित निवेशक’ to address the growing risk of securities market frauds occurring through social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Google Play Store, and Apple Store.
Recognizing the increasing number of investors losing money to fraudulent trading schemes, SEBI has chosen All India Radio as the medium for this campaign, leveraging its pan-India reach to ensure widespread dissemination of investor safety messages. The campaign seeks to caution investors against falling prey to unregulated stock trading advice and fraudulent schemes circulated online, while reinforcing SEBI’s mandate of protecting investor interests.
The campaign was formally launched with the first address by SEBI Chairman, Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, aired on August 15, 2025. Through this effort, SEBI aims to both curb fraudulent activities on digital platforms and strengthen investor awareness, thereby safeguarding market integrity and financial stability.
