Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the Fourth Kautilya Economic Conclave (KEC 2025) from 3–5 October 2025 in New Delhi. The theme is “Seeking Prosperity in Turbulent Times”. The conclave will host sessions on global macroeconomic prudence, industrial policy, trade, digital infrastructure, emerging technologies, and universal healthcare. External Affairs Minister will close the conclave with remarks on India’s foreign and economic strategy. The initiative is organized by the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) in coordination with Ministry of Finance.
The conclave serves as a strategic forum bridging domestic and global policy challenges. It aligns with India’s aspirations under frameworks such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and its push to shape multilateral architecture, especially in times of global turbulence.
What is KEC? → The Kautilya Economic Conclave is an annual forum convened by IEG and Government of India to foster high-level dialogue among policymakers, economists, and global experts on contemporary economic challenges and policy pathways.
