MSME Ministry Launches Seva Parv 2025 to Empower Artisans with Credit and Market Access
SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth | SDG 17: Partnerships
Institutions: Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
From 28–30 September 2025, the MSME Ministry will host MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas at Varanasi. The event will bring together 1,500+ beneficiaries of flagship schemes (PM Vishwakarma, Khadi & Village Industries, PMEGP, SC/ST Hub). An exhibition-cum-sale of local artisan products, Swachhata drive at Namo Ghat, and a Mahila Paricharcha session with women entrepreneurs and SHGs are key features. A MoU between KVIC and NSIC on marketing collaboration, loan certificate distributions, margin money subsidies under PMEGP, and toolkits to GVY beneficiaries will also be launched.
Since the launch of PM Vishwakarma (17 Sept 2023), ~30 lakh beneficiaries have been registered, ~23 lakh received basic skill training, ~5 lakh obtained loans, and 8.33 lakh toolkits delivered via India Post. Under the SC/ST Hub Scheme, over 1.5 lakh beneficiaries have been supported, and procurement from SC/ST-owned MSEs has increased 36-fold. The Khadi sector has seen 47% growth in production and 41.45% growth in sales over recent years.
MSME Seva Parv galvanises heritage, skill, and enterprise linkages in artisanal sectors, enhancing awareness, market access, and financial interventions at the grassroots. Aligning with schemes like Make in India, Gram Bharat, and National MSME Policy 2020, the Parv can spotlight traditional crafts and strengthen MSME ecosystems in aspirational districts.
