The ILO, through its Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, in collaboration with UNU-INWEH, has released its “Social Dialogue and Labour Relations 2025” report - a comprehensive diagnosis of social dialogue mechanisms across the region. The report provides a detailed mapping of tripartite institutions such as economic and social councils, labour and wage councils, and occupational safety and health bodies, accompanied by numerous good-practice case studies and analyses of their effectiveness in preventing labour conflicts and strengthening governance. It also explores the critical links between social dialogue and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on how institutional frameworks contribute to inclusive and equitable labour relations. Finally, the report offers actionable recommendations to fortify participatory governance and broaden social participation in labour policymaking
